Frost Implements the RCA House System

We are excited to announce that Frost School will implement the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) house system. This house system creates a community among our students while encouraging student leadership and motivation to succeed in school. One of the key benefits of the RCA house system is that it promotes a sense of belonging among students. Each student has been assigned to one of four houses and will have opportunities to participate in house-specific events and activities throughout the year. This sense of belonging can help students feel more connected to their school and peers, which leads to greater engagement and motivation in their studies.

Frost school will now consist of 4 Houses but we will continue to be one family. Students were sorted at random into 4 houses on Friday August 16th: Isibindi, Altruismo, Amistad, Reveur. Students were sent home wearing a wrist band the color of their house as well as a card containing their house details.

Teachers will use the RCA House Points app to reward students. Points students earn will not just be for themselves but will count towards their entire house. We will use this system to promote school spirit, positive behavior, attendance, and academic achievement. Each month Frost will have a new behavioral focus. Whatever the focus is that month will be worth extra points for students. In the months of August and September we will focus on respect. Students who are recognized for showing respect during those designated months will earn double the points for their house!

Frost school will be selling House Shirts which students can wear on designated days throughout the year. Our first house spirit day will be Thursday, August 22nd. Students can wear shirts the same color as their house with uniform bottoms. Shirts worn must be school appropriate. Information on ordering house shirts will be sent out at a later date. In the meantime, read below to learn more about each of our four houses. Pictures taken during the student house sorting day are also below.
