Frost School Honors Veterans at 2023 Veterans Day Program

This year's Veterans Day program was held on November 10, 2023. Peyton Ogle said the opening word of prayer to start off the program. Following prayer, Pre-k sang the “Pledge Of Allegiance" proceeded by Emma and Olivia Roshto who sang "The Star-Spangled Banner." Veterans were then asked to introduced themselves to our school sharing how long they served, their name, and what branch they served. Sixth grade Carson Dupont-Hooge read an acrostic veteran poem. First grade sang "The Grand Old Flag". Second Grade performed the “Ringing of the Bells". Major Bill Pianki, pastor of First Baptist Church of French Settlement, spoke about the veterans and how grateful we are for them. Then Major Bill had a challenge for 6-8 grade. 8th grade had to name a country that starts with Z. 6th and 7th grade had to name a country with A. Fourth graders sang "God Bless the U.S.A". Assistant principal, Mark Curtis, announced the conclusion of the veterans day program. Frost School's office provided veterans with a spaghetti lunch. Our kindergarten class provided the cake. Upper grades created art and poems for veterans. The program was a fantastic way to show Frost's appreciation to veterans.
